Hey everyone! Hope all is well.
After an amazing summer tour with the band I’ve been spending a lot of time these past two months writing new material and testing these songs out at solo shows across the province, meeting lots of great new folks. The response from the release of Luminosity has been overwhelming so I thank you all for your feedback. If you haven’t had a chance to take a listen to the record yet, here’s one of the singles “The Other Side” that I just put up for streaming over on my youtube channel:
I have a lot on the way for this upcoming year. I just got a new guitar which I just took out for the first time this weekend. I’ve been loving playing this thing:
My new guitar. I've always wanted an archtop, and thought it was finally time to treat myself to one! Come and see/hear it in action at one of my solo shows or at one of our upcoming tour dates (tickets available now) 🎸🍂 . 11.01 – The Rainbow, Ottawa ON 11.02 – The Cameron House, Toronto ON 11.09 – Musiikki Café, Kingston ON
I have a few shows coming up this fall with the band before our next tour in the new year which you can hear a teaser of some of the new tunes and my new guitar in action.
11.02 – The Rainbow, Ottawa ON
11.03 – The Cameron House, Toronto ON
11.09 – Musiikki Café, Kingston ON
I’ve also decided to start giving private lessons in my spare time. After 4 years of teaching experience working for different schools of music between Kingston and the GTA, and years of studying music theory and guitar/vocal technique I think it’s time for me to start offering my skills in a 1 on 1 environment. While I currently reside in Kingston, ON and will be offering lessons both in the comfort of your own home, or at my residence in the west end, I will also offer lessons over Skype for those who live elsewhere. My goal is to sit down with you and create a program specific to what you want to learn, whether that be to improve your guitar playing or theory knowledge, learn how to sing and play/performance coaching or just playing your favourite cover tunes. I will keep a level of fundamentals in theory no matter what you want to learn, but if playing for fun is your aim we can make the lessons right for you. While having your own guitar is suggested it’s not necessary as I’m happy lending you one for lessons. Electric or Acoustic guitar is fine, as even though I play mostly acoustic these days I still like to keep up to date on my electric chops! Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or give me a call at 613-583-5252 for more info and rates.
Anyways, sign up for the email list on my home page to keep up to date with everything I’ll be up to in the next little while. All the best!
